We are committed to protecting the health, safety and well being of all people working at or visiting the Revival Productions event site.

• We plan, manage, conduct and supervise all our work in compliance

• We want to ensure that all workers have a clear understanding of their responsibilities along with that of the company.

• Site Safety is a team effort and it is not the responsibility of one person alone.

However

• YOU are responsible for your works/working area, and in particular, ensuring that they do not harm others.

• If you are not happy with the actions of others, or how it affects your work space, raise it with the Production Team.

Welcome

• In order to speed up the process of an induction on site, all staff must view and confirm their understanding of this induction before starting work on site.
  
• All suppliers to ensure that all staff are aware of the information in the site safety induction.
  
• Once you have completed your health and safety induction you will be issued with event accreditation on the first day onsite.
  
• Any staff who are not listed as having completed the health and safety induction will be required to complete this before accreditation will be issued.
  
• Build / derig accreditation will be distributed by production onsite.
  
• Your accreditation must be on display at all times. If you lose your accreditation, please report to the Production Team as soon as possible to get a replacement.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Working Areas

• All significant work operations should be undertaken in a secured work area, clear of non-essential personnel.
• When working with other suppliers – ensure agreement is reached over access to different working areas and always keep access routes clear.
• Clean as you go – we expect general good housekeeping from all contractors to avoid unnecessary trip/fire hazards – don’t expect someone to clean up after you.
• Please bear in mind that you are working in a privately owned estate and please pay attention to other estate users or visiting public that may be in the surrounding area.

Prohibitions

• No Headphones. The use of personal music devices are not permitted when you are working.
• If you need to make a phone call consider the location – strictly not when driving, operating plant or working at height.
• No Drugs or Alcohol.
• No smoking or vaping whilst working. You are only permitted to smoke or vape in the designated smoking / vaping area which will be shown to you when you arrive on site - by the Production Trailer or outside the backstage marquee.
• Anyone seen to be smoking or vaping outside of the designated will be asked to move to the smoking area immediately or leave site.

Moving Plant & Vehicles

• Beware of vehicle movement onsite and always remain visible to the operator/driver.
• All reversing and manoeuvring vehicles should have an approved banks man directing movement and monitoring for any hazards.
• Do not use hazard lights when moving, use beacons and/or headlights.
• Site speed limit is 15 mph. Anyone found to be exceeding the speed limit will be asked to take their vehicle off site and will not be permitted to drive on site for the remainder of the job. This applies to buggies onsite.
• PLANT OPERATORS – we will take a photograph of your license for record purposes. Please carry it with you at all times.

Working at Height

• Where possible, avoid working at height.
• If your job requires you to work at height, you must protect your work space so that it cannot harm others - All work at height should be planned in advance and included in your RAMS.
• Hard Hat areas will be installed where required and signed as appropriate.
• If working at height, appropriate PPE should be worn.

Working at Height - Ladders

• Ladders should only be used for short term work.
• Ensure a ladder is the correct piece of access equipment for your job by considering the time frame and reach needed – never work outside of your reach when using a ladder.
• Always check for defaults, all ladders in use should be properly maintained.
• Never stand above the second from top rung, or have a foot either side of the apex. Always face into the ladder, three points of contact and two feet on the ladder at all times.
• Only one person should work on a ladder at a time, a second person to foot the ladder for you.

Fire Safety

• Keep fire exits clear at all times. DO NOT block any site or stage access points and keep roadways and pedestrian routes clear at all times.
• Please display your vehicle pass with your name and contact number clearly on the dashboard of your vehicle – this will help us to ensure that we can contact you quickly in case we need to move your vehicle to allow Emergency Services access.
  
• If you hear a radio call or loud hailer instructions to evacuate the event site – make your way to the nearest Exit as directed by Security or Production Team.
  
• Do not attempt to fight the fire yourself, fire extinguishers should only be used to aid escape.
  
• On exiting the site, please make your way to the fire assembly point. Unless otherwise advised, this is the Production Car Parking area.

Reporting of Incidents, Near Misses, Dangerous Occurrences etc.

Accident = An unplanned event that causes harm

Near Miss = An unplanned event that could have caused harm

To help us stay safe on-site and learn for the future please report any:

• Accidents

• Incidents

• Near-misses (no matter how trivial it may seem)

• Dangerous occurrences

• Unsafe practices or conditions you have witnessed on-site.

These must be reported to the Production Office or the Event Safety Advisor as soon as it is safely possible to do so.

They will investigate these incidences and may ask you for more details for their report.

First Aid Medical Arrangements

Lisa Ward and Katharine Brindley are the designated first aiders during the build and break, please contact the Production Team.

Please ensure all first aid incidents are reported to and recorded by the Production Team.

The location of the nearest hospital with 24-hour Accident & Emergency facilities can be found in the Contractor Information Pack for the venue and also at the Event Control trailer onsite.

Welfare

There are welfare facilities on-site available to all staff, contractors and traders, please make yourself aware of these whilst you are on-site, these include:

• Toilet facilities

• Handwash / hand sanitiser stations

• Undercover and dry rest areas for site and technical staff

• Access to drinking water

• Crew catering - available for those eligible during the event period only - vouchers from Event Control.

Please take measures to look after your own, and everyone else’s welfare whilst on site.

• EXTREME HEAT - where possible, do not work in direct sun between 11-3pm.

• Take regular breaks in the shade and drink plenty of water. If you feel sick or faint, stop work immediately and seek medical attention.

• Keep hydrated - make use of the water fountains around site; Please use re-useable water bottles to avoid single use plastic.

• Ensure you dress for the weather – wear a hat and use plenty of sun cream in sunny weather; wet weather clothing in the rain, etc

• Please try to keep the beautiful event site clean and tidy – dispose of litter appropriately

Emergency / Evacuation

During Build & Break

In the event of an emergency please follow the instructions of the Production Manager and/or Event Safety Advisor.
If a full site evacuation is required, make your way to the production car parking area and wait there until further instructions. Only re-access the site when you are told it is safe to do so. If you are the first to see an incident or emergency, contact the Production Manager immediately, raise the alarm to other co-workers/contractors and move to a place of safety. Call the emergency services - do not assume someone else will do it.

During the Event Period

Evacuation and emergency procedures will be managed by Event Control and supported on the ground by event security. The evacuation area /assembly point will be dependent on the nature and location of the incident. Please listen to any instructions via Event Control and security operatives.

Terrorist Threat

In the event of a weapons or terrorist attack follow the run, hide, tell protocol.
